After this afternoon's physical training session in Gávea, coach Cuca assured that Flamengo is still in the fight for the 2009 season titles. The coach took responsibility for the elimination in the Guanabara Cup and asked for the trust of the red-black fans.

"I take full responsibility for the failure. Even if it was in a different way, since we were undefeated and lost when we couldn't afford to lose. This is a time for reflection and work. We have to maintain what was positive and change what wasn't working. We won't give the players a break. Now it's time to work, work, work. We have to improve in every aspect. I ask for the fans' understanding and trust."

Cuca hopes to work on a new tactical scheme for the red-black team in the coming days.

"We're going to work differently. We have a very predictable game plan. I have an idea in mind, and we'll work on the technical and tactical aspects in the coming days."
