Cuca tests three attacking duos in tactical training
Adriano, Emerson and Josiel are competing for two spots in attack for Sunday's game against Atlético-PR at Maracanã.
By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's squad returned to training this Friday afternoon at Gávea. Coach Cuca finalized the team's details for Sunday's match against Atlético-PR at Maracanã, a fourth-round match of the Brazilian Championship.
In the tactical training session, on a reduced field, Cuca tested three attacking pairs for Sunday's game. Emerson and Adriano began training as starters. Soon after, Josiel replaced Emerson, forming the attack with Adriano. In the end, Adriano was removed from the team, and Emerson and Josiel trained together in the starting attack. Cuca also tested Zé Roberto in the team, replacing Kleberson, who will miss the club's upcoming matches due to his call-up to the Brazilian national team.
Adriano performed well during the 30-minute training session, demonstrating his continued improvement in fitness. The Emperor scored a goal and headed a ball off the post.
At the end of the activity, Adriano, Emerson, Josiel and Juan practiced finishing and performed well.
Flamengo must face Atlético-PR with: Bruno; Léo Moura, Airton, Ronaldo Angelim and Juan; Toró, Willians, Ibson and Kleberson; Emerson and Adriano (Josiel).
