Flamengo is going through a great phase in the season and after the 2-0 victory against Paraná, midfielder Cuéllar spoke about the importance of going into the World Cup break leading the Brazilian Championship, qualified for the Copa do Brasil and also for the Libertadores.
"We set goals for the first semester and we managed to achieve them. We haven't won anything yet. We have a second semester to follow and if we continue on this path, everything should work out."
The Colombian midfielder also spoke about the victory over Paraná, which left Flamengo with a six-point lead at the top of the Brazilian Championship.
"Our team has quality and we managed to have a good first half. We maintained the pressure of the game and they only threatened with balls outside the penalty area. We controlled the game overall and achieved a well-deserved victory."
