David bets that Fla can surprise

Surprise. That's what Flamengo wants in the second half of the Brazilian Championship. And that's what defender David believes the Rubro-Negro can do in the next rounds if they maintain the spirit they demonstrated in the duel against Santos last Sunday (05.09) at Maracanã.
The defender, who is still unsure if he will start against São Paulo this Wednesday (September 08.09th), believes the team can begin a winning streak if they overcome the São Paulo team later today.
"I think there's still time for us to surprise. The Brazilian Championship is very balanced, and we're not far from the top four. If the team maintains the form it played against Santos in the remaining games, we can achieve our goals," he said.
The defender, who has faced São Paulo quite a bit since his time at Palmeiras, knows the mission won't be easy, but he's confident.
"I've played many times for Palmeiras against São Paulo at Morumbi. They have a great team, which we have to respect. But we know we have the ability to play well and get three points," he added.
