David and Jean believe in good harmony in defense
Players could form the starting duo in this Wednesday's match against Grêmio at the Olímpico

Therefore, there is a good chance that the red-black defensive duo in the duel will be formed by David and Jean. And both believe that there will be no problems regarding the synergy in the heart of the defense.
David, who started in the Fla x Flu match last Sunday (19.09), remembers that he has played alongside Jean a few times and believes that the two have a good chance of putting on a great performance this week.
"We've played together a few times and we won't have any problems in terms of team chemistry. I hope it works out and we can play a good game to help Flamengo get the win in Porto Alegre," he said.
The experienced Jean believes there will be no problem playing alongside another right-handed defender, as this is common in Brazilian football. Furthermore, if coach Silas opts for a three-man defense, he also guarantees he's prepared.
"We won't have any problems if Silas chooses this formation. Most of the clubs I've played for had two right-handed defenders, especially since it's not very common to have left-handed players in that position, like we have here with Angelim. So I believe we can do well playing together. If we have to play with three defenders, there won't be any problems either. We've already trained like this, David and Angelim have quality, and there won't be any difficulty adapting," he stated.
Flamengo and Grêmio face off this Wednesday at 22 p.m. in Porto Alegre. If Flamengo, which has 27 points, wins the match, they will surpass Grêmio, which has 29, in the standings.
