David is already thinking about the match against Atlético-PR

Defender believes the match at Arena da Baixada will be difficult for Flamengo

Arena da Baixada is a stadium where Flamengo doesn't have a very positive track record. In its history, the team from Gávea has played 10 matches, winning only two, drawing two, and losing six. Knowing this, the Flamengo players anticipate another tough match next Sunday (August 22.08), when they face Atlético Paranaense in Curitiba.

"The games at the Arena are always very difficult. We're facing a team trying to escape the relegation zone, and we'll need to prepare a lot on the field," said defender David.

In the match against Furacão, however, Flamengo has the advantage in historical retrospect: they have won 18 of their 40 matches, drawn eight, and lost 14. For David, the 41st duel between the red-and-blacks promises to be a very close one.

"We have to defend strongly, because they come out to play, and then we need to create counterattacks and take advantage of opportunities. Playing there is very difficult and we have to be alert," analyzed the player, who emphasized the importance of a victory.

"It will be very important to get a result there to put an end to the distrust. We are on the right track and getting a result there is essential for us to get going," he added.
