On Palmeiras' side, Weverton, Rony, and Raphael Veiga are competing. Voting runs until November 27th, the day of the final in Montevideo between Flamengo and Palmeiras.

Gabigol is nominated for the IFFHS World Player of the Year award.

Gabigol is up for another major award. The top scorer is among the 32 candidates for the IFFHS (International Federation of Football History and Statistics) World Player of the Year award.
