On Saturday night (9), Rubro-Negro faced Vasco for the Taça Rio and drew 1-1 with a great goal from De Arrascaeta, who shone after a pass from Vitinho. The opponent equalized with a penalty at the end.

The match started evenly. Both sides created chances, threatening the opposing defenses in search of the opening goal. Flamengo came out strong with Ronaldo and Trauco, as well as the attacking trio of Vitinho, De Arrascaeta, and Vitor Gabriel. Despite seeing Vasco in good form, Flamengo also managed to push forward with a dangerous lead. However, the score remained unchanged at halftime: 0-0.

The second half started off electrifying. Just two minutes in, a play that started in the defense's half moved up the pitch until it ended at the feet of Vitinho, who found De Arrascaeta unmarked in the box to score a stunning goal. After that, the Gávea team continued to improve, pressing hard for a second. Meanwhile, Vasco tried to find space to equalize, but were thwarted by the team's well-positioned defense. However, in the final play, the referee awarded a penalty, and Máxi Lopez equalized.

The result keeps Mais Querido in first place in the Taça Rio, with two wins and one draw in three games. Next Wednesday (13), Flamengo will once again think about Conmebol Libertadores, as they face LDU at Maracanã, at 21:45 pm, in the second round.
