Arrascaeta plans his next game in the Brasileirão
Uruguayan believes that a full week of work will be good for the red-black team
By Communication - Flamengo - inRecovering every day from a muscle injury he recently suffered, midfielder De Arrascaeta spoke to journalists before training on Tuesday afternoon (06), at Ninho do Urubu. The Uruguayan spoke about the team's performance in the Brazilian Championship and highlighted that the team will have more time to improve their physical condition in the coming days.
"We've had a tough stretch with travel and everything. I've stopped for a few days now and want to train hard to improve my physical condition and help my teammates. We know there are no easy games in the Brasileirão. Bahia was coming off a difficult and unstable run, but they're strong at home. They played a good first half, and we made mistakes where we couldn't afford them. Let's focus on the Grêmio game to avoid making the same mistakes," he analyzed.
Next Saturday (10), Flamengo faces Grêmio, at 19 pm, at Maracanã. Rubro-negro needs to win to try to reduce the gap to the leaders in the table. The midfielder believes that with more time working the squad will be able to assimilate more and more of coach Jorge Jesus' ideas.
"When the coach arrives, he comes with the things he wants to implement in the group, and we have to understand what he wants on the field. We know we'll make mistakes during this adaptation. We have to minimize that. Jorge's work will be very beneficial for us. We'll need time to polish and better understand what he wants. We know that in Brazil, we depend heavily on results, and we'll be focused on every game to emerge victorious," he stated.
