More than just a friendly, Sunday's game (January 16.01th) against América Mineiro is also a major test for the Flamengo team. Therefore, already thinking about the Rubro-Negro's debut against Volta Redonda on Wednesday (January 19.01th) at Engenhão, coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has put together a team without the foreign players Darío Bottinelli and Maldonado.
The first player cannot play because he has not yet obtained his work visa. The second was sent off in the last game of the 2010 State Championship, in the Taça Rio final against Botafogo. Therefore, the Flamengo lineup in the training session this Friday (January 14.01th) was the same as the friendly match last Sunday (January 09.01th) against Londrina.
Instead of the one-striker formation used in Thursday afternoon's (January 13.01th) tactical session, Luxa set up the team in a 4-4-2 formation: Felipe, Leonardo Moura, Welinton, David and Egídio; Maldonado, Willians, Renato and Vander; Wanderley and Deivid. In the reserve team, Paulo Victor, Vinícius, Jean, Ronaldo Angelim and Rodrigo Alvim trained; Maldonado, João Vitor, Fernando and Marquinhos; Bottinelli and Romário.
Flamengo and América-MG will face off at 17 PM on Sunday at Estádio do Café.
