Back at Ninho do Urubu after a 4-0 thrashing of Nova Iguaçu in the Campeonato Carioca, the red-and-black squad now turns its attention to its debut in the Copa da Primeira Liga against Grêmio. Preparations began with technical and tactical training, with coach Zé Ricardo outlining the lineup that will take the field for the upcoming match.
The players who started the final match did recovery work, while the rest of the players practiced muscle activation exercises, both conducted at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center. After the warm-up, which took place on Field 3 of the training center, it was time for finishing practice, with plays constructed along the sides of the field.

Next, Zé Ricardo instructed the athletes in tactical activity, focusing on the team's defensive positioning and, subsequently, on the offensive. Training this Monday (06) ended with work that promoted one-on-one and two-on-two clashes, ending in conclusions to the goal.

This Wednesday (08), Mais Querido will face the team from Rio Grande do Sul at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília. The match will start at 19:30 pm.
