By Matheus Oliveira - inIn search of getting back to winning ways in the Brazilian Championship, the red-black squad concluded their preparations for another challenge in the national competition this Saturday morning (15). Tactical activities aimed at the match against Cruzeiro marked the day's work at Ninho do Urubu, which saw Zé Ricardo outline the team that will take to the field in this Sunday's match (16). Once the activities are over, the athletes will continue their journey with the rest of the delegation to Minas Gerais, where the match will take place.
At the end of the pre-training activities held at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), the team began warming up with a ball on the pitch at Field 5, led by fitness coaches Daniel Gonçalves and Marcelo Martorelli. After the physical training, it was time for tactical training. Split into two teams, adjustments were made to positioning during free kicks and corner kicks, both offensively and defensively.
Later, part of the squad remained on the field to practice free kicks directly at the goal defended by U-20 goalkeeper Gabriel Batista. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, other players took part in a collective training session on a reduced-size field, led by coach Zé Ricardo and his assistant coach Cleber dos Santos.
In the afternoon, the red-black delegation will travel to Belo Horizonte, where the Mais Querido will face Cruzeiro. This Sunday (15), the ball will roll at Mineirão from 16 pm.
