This Thursday's training session (15) marks the return of work at Ninho do Urubu after the 2-0 victory over Ponte Preta last Wednesday (14), in a match that marked the debut of the new red-black home, Ilha do Urubu. The players who started the match carried out regenerative work, while the rest of the group went to Field 4 of the CT, where the training took place.
After the pre-training activities at Flamengo's Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA), the warm-up began on the pitch. Simultaneously, Gabriel and Thiago Santos performed specific ball work, coordinated by physical trainer Roberto Oliveira.
Following that, Zé Ricardo led a technical training session focused on maintaining possession of the ball under pressure. The newest Flamengo players, Everton Ribeiro and Rhodolfo, as well as the Argentinian defender Alejandro Donatti and the Colombian striker Orlando Berrío, participated in the activity. On the opposite side of the pitch, goalkeeping coaches Vitor Hugo and José Jober guided the goalkeepers in a game situation drill. The day's work concluded with a small-sided game.
The squad will return on Friday afternoon (16) to continue preparations for the derby against Fluminense, which will take place next Sunday (18). The match, valid for the Brazilian Championship, will be played at Maracanã, with kick-off at 16 pm.
