In a comeback, Mengão beat Fluminense 2-1 at Maraca, in the Brasileirão

In the eighth round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo beat Fluminense, in a comeback, 2-1 on Sunday night (29), at Maracanã. The goals for Rubro-Negro were scored by Andreas and Gabi. With the result, Mais Querido ended a five-match winless streak against the tricolor team.

The game
The derby started fairly evenly, with Flamengo holding the ball for the most time. In the ninth minute, Fluminense took the lead through Cano, who headed in a corner kick to make it 1-0.

The red-and-black team's first good chance came in the 19th minute. Everton Ribeiro crossed into the box and Arrascaeta headed it in. The ball went just wide of Fábio's goal. In the 32nd minute, Bruno Henrique received the ball on the left and crossed into the box. Everton Ribeiro caught it first time, but sent it wide.

Trailing, Fluminense pushed forward and created a few chances. Goalkeeper Hugo made crucial saves, preventing the Tricolor from equalizing. In the final minutes, the red-and-black team held strong defensively and emerged with a crucial victory, closing in on the top of the standings.
