In a comeback, Mengão beats Vasco 2-1 in São Januário

Mengão won in the Clássico dos Milhões! In a game valid for the 15th round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo came out on top and beat Vasco, in a comeback, 2-1, this Saturday (10), in São Januário. The goals for Rubro-Negro were scored by Léo Pereira and Bruno Henrique, both in the second half.
The game
The first half started off quite tense, with Vasco committing two fouls in less than a minute. Flamengo, on the other hand, valued possession and exchanged passes in the attacking half. In the 8th minute, the team from São Januário opened the scoring through Talles Magno, who received the ball unmarked to finish: 1-0.
After the goal, Rubro-Negro was forced to attack more, pressing Vasco in their own half. In the 32nd minute, Diego received the ball in front of the box and took a shot, but Fernando Miguel saved. In the 40th minute, Bruno Henrique was found on the left and sent in a low cross, but the defender blocked it. The first half ended with Vasco's team in the lead.
Just two minutes into the second half, Mengão leveled the score. Diego lifted the ball into the box, and Léo Pereira rose perfectly to head it in: 1-1. In the 13th minute, Flamengo attacked again with a vengeance. Diego received the ball on the right, inside the box, and sent in a low cross. Miranda cleared it, and the ball fell to Fernando Miguel.
In the 24th minute, Mengão turned the game around! Thiago Maia passed to Bruno Henrique, who challenged Fernando Miguel at the edge of the box, cleared the play, and fired a low shot. The ball hit the post before going in: 2-1. In the 39th minute, Vasco had a goal disallowed. In the final minutes, Flamengo managed to control the result and left the field with an important victory.
And now?
Mais Querido returns to the field next Tuesday (13) to face Goiás, at 18 pm, at Maracanã, in a postponed game from the 11th round of the Brasileirão.
