Focus on the classic! On the morning of last Tuesday (13), Flamengo trained at Ninho do Urubu aiming for the duel against Vasco da Gama, next Saturday, in Brasília. Before the activity led by coach Jorge Jesus, striker Gabriel Barbosa, Gabigol, gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room.

"It will be a great game, against a great team. I'm sure the stadium will be packed and the nation will push us to victory," said the number 9.

When asked about his current situation at Mais Querido, the Brasileirão's top scorer stressed that he is experiencing the best moment of his career.

"With everything I'm experiencing here, this is my best moment. With the people who have been helping me, with the work of the coach, who has a different training intensity and is making me grow a lot, with my teammates, many of whom are players I never imagined playing alongside, I think this is my best moment. The expectation (of being called up to the Brazilian national team) is very good, I'm dedicating myself a lot to Flamengo and I leave that to coach Tite. Obviously, with everything I'm experiencing at Flamengo, like every 22-year-old player, I think about it. Returning to the national team is a dream of mine, but regardless of what happens, I will keep working," he highlighted.

Regarding his physical condition, the player joked and finished by talking about the classic.

"I'm fine, I'm fine, whole! 200%."

"Our focus is on Saturday. The team has been training hard since the last game, already thinking about the derby. I don't see it as a problem having two matches ahead; I see it as a good thing. I hope we can emerge victorious against Vasco. We'll work hard to make that happen.
