Preparation

After the defeat to Vasco on Sunday (14), the coach Muricy Ramalho gave a press conference. He lamented the goal conceded from a set piece in the final minute, but noted that, until then, the defensive sector had been functioning well in the match. The coach also stated that he expects more from the team, which lost an official game under his command for the first time: "We didn't play like we have in other matches, our ball possession wasn't good, we have to improve that. I saw many players far from each other, but the beginning of the season is like that," he concluded.

The day after the match, Flamengo resumed training at Gávea. Those who played at São Januário stayed in the gym, while the others did tactical work on the field. After the activities, Willian Arão analyzed the match against Vasco and stated that the team will work hard to correct mistakes and improve as the season progresses.

The delegation travelled to Espírito Santo after the last training session before the game, this Tuesday (16) morning. Muricy closed the activity to the press and made tests in the starting team.
