Flamengo failed to replicate its early-season performances on Wednesday night, losing 2-0 to Universidad Católica in Santiago (goals from Diaz and Silva). The result keeps the Flamengo in second place in Group 8 of the Copa Santander Libertadores with seven points, and ensures Universidad de Chile is in first place with 11. Católica, in turn, has five points.
