The training sessions were productive, and if his game rhythm isn't at its best yet, striker Deivid will try to compensate by staying motivated. Next Sunday (September 05.09th), the center forward is expected to make his Flamengo debut against Santos at Maracanã. The number 99 says he's ready to play his first game wearing the Sacred Mantle and be available to Silas.
"I trained there for a week, well, of course it's normal to feel the rhythm of the game, but I'm ready to be used by the coach," he said.
The player knows there are big differences between the hard work he's been doing in training and the matches, but he promises to do everything he can to put in great performances and make his mark at Gávea.
"Training physically is one thing, but playing is another. I want to play, help the team, and help Flamengo leave Maracanã as a winner. I don't want to visit Rio, I want to win and be remembered in Flamengo's history," said the striker, who knows he will have a huge responsibility in assuming the position of starting center forward for the Rubro-Negro.
"I'm keeping a close eye on the team, and this situation of being a savior, this responsibility, is natural. And in a way, it's good. There has to be pressure, otherwise it won't work. I'm ready to debut and play great games," he concluded.
