Deivid wants to overcome a new challenge in his career.
The striker is experiencing a difficult situation for the first time in the Brazilian Championship, but he is confident in Flamengo's victories.
By From the official website team - inJust like coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and Flamengo itself, Deivid is used to big victories and fighting for titles. In this edition of the Brazilian Championship, however, the number 99 of Flamengo knows that his fight is different: it's to help the team leave the bottom of the competition table.
The center forward knows that the moment is difficult, but believes in the experience and talent of the whole group to overcome the difficulties and seek victory against Guarani, Saturday (November 20.11th), at 19:30 pm, at Engenhão.
"We hope to get out of this situation in the three games. I've never been through a moment like this, having to win all three games. We still have a good advantage over the relegation zone, but this is the situation that has arisen and only we can get out of it. The group is strong and most of us were champions last year. We know we have to play to win," said the striker, who knows that the weekend's game is a decisive one.
"Saturday's game is a decisive one; we would like to compete for the title, but this decision is different. We have to approach the game with a lot of responsibility and caution. It depends on us. Each of us needs to take on some responsibility and use our experience to get out of this situation," he noted.
With Diogo once again as his attacking partner in the match against Guarani, Deivid doesn't care if the goals are scored by the D2 attack or any other player. For him, winning the game is what matters.
"We have to score and we have to win. That's what matters. We need to focus on playing a great game and, if possible, scoring a goal, but the important thing is that we get the three points," he concluded.
