Flamengo celebrated its 115th anniversary on Monday (November 15.11th). And striker Deivid is proud to be part of the red-and-black squad during this landmark moment in the club's history. The number 99 has been a Flamengo fan since childhood and doesn't hide his happiness at now representing the team from Gávea.

According to Deivid, everyone involved in some way with Clube de Regatas do Flamengo deserves some congratulations for this glorious history spanning more than a century.

"I would like to express my pride in playing for Flamengo and congratulate everyone who works at the club and the enormous Flamengo Nation," said the player.

The striker hopes to give the Flamengo fans a gift at the end of the year: a spot in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana.

"Of course we would like Flamengo to be in a better situation and fighting for the Brazilian Championship title. But, at this moment, securing a spot in the Copa Sudamericana for 2011 is a gift that we can still fight for," he concluded.
