Deivid dreams of his first title with Flamengo.
The striker is confident that the team can achieve great things in the 2011 season.

There are players arriving, others leaving, some being promoted from the youth divisions... But there are also those already in the group who want to prove their worth in 2011. One of them is center forward Deivid. Experienced, a winner, and with an enviable resume, the number 99 knows that 2010 wasn't what the Flamengo fans expected, but he guarantees that he can – and will – do much more in the upcoming season.
\Signed in the second half of last year, after a long period away from the field and a long life abroad playing for Fenerbahçe in Turkey, Deivid acknowledges that he encountered some difficulties in readjusting to Brazil and to national football, and this weighed on his performance.
\"I faced some difficulties readjusting to Brazilian football after so long. It's normal, I spent a lot of time in Europe. Of course, the year wasn't what I wanted, or what nobody wanted, but we have to leave it behind, learn from our mistakes and focus on the future," the striker explained.
\Optimistic, Deivid sees the team as capable of pursuing all the titles it will compete for this season. There will be four: the Carioca Championship, the Copa do Brasil, the Brazilian Championship, and the Copa Sudamericana. And he hopes to win at least one trophy in the first half of 2011.
\"I'm going to have a strong preseason and I'm sure that, in 2011, I will live up to the confidence that Flamengo's fans have placed in me and help the team achieve its goals. In 2010, Flamengo assembled a good squad, but things didn't go as everyone expected. Now, with some reinforcements and good preparation, we have a good chance of fighting for titles in the State Championship and the Copa do Brasil in the first half of the year," he assured.
