Deivid sees the championship as balanced in all positions of the table.
The striker believes that the Flamengo team needs to pay attention to those behind them in the standings, but with the Copa Sudamericana in mind.
By From the official website team - inWhile Flamengo is in a qualifying position for the Copa Sudamericana, they are also in a less than comfortable situation regarding the relegation zone. Therefore, striker Deivid wants the team to pay close attention to both the teams above and below them in the standings. For him, the focus now is entirely on the last six rounds of the Brasileirão.
The center forward also envisions a 2011 full of victories and achievements under the command of Vanderlei Luxemburgo.
"If you look closely at the table, it's balanced at the bottom, in the middle, and at the top. It's not just down there. We're going to secure a spot in the Copa Sudamericana, and in 2011, I'm sure Vanderlei will put together a great team to win every title we compete for," said the striker, who knows that the pressure from the fans will be high in the upcoming games.
"The fans will only breathe a sigh of relief when we win three games in a row. We know that, but we are calm and aware that the work is being done. We're going to Ceará with that mindset, to come back with the three points," he noted.
After being selected alongside Diego Maurício and Diogo in the last game, Deivid chose not to reveal his preferred formation. For him, the important thing is to put the ball in the net, period.
"I don't talk about tactics. You can ask Vanderlei about that. I try to play well, regardless of how he sets up the team. I always try to do what he asks. That's the important thing: to do your job," he concluded.
