The Flamengo Football management, by consensus and through an evaluation of recent results, has decided to improve and redefine the philosophy and structure of the professional football department's coaching staff. The changes will involve the technical, medical, and physical preparation areas.

"We are working meticulously to assemble a team that values ​​professionals in terms of compensation, aiming to increase the time each person dedicates to the club," explains director Luiz Augusto Veloso, emphasizing the process of the Football Department's guidelines.

"Decisions are made jointly, and the entire process of change involves the direct participation of Professor Isaias Tinoco, Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, and Dr. José Luiz Runco. As has been the case since we arrived at the club, everything is being thought out and done with respect for the professionals who may eventually be replaced or reassigned."

On the other hand, the modernization process of the department led to the creation of a team of technical observers with the objective of monitoring Flamengo's athletes, in all divisions, as well as players loaned to other clubs, to assess their potential future use. Another function is to assist in monitoring and evaluating potential new signings.

Composed of former players accustomed to careful observation, this team recently followed the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, held in Rio Grande do Sul, and produced reports on the teams involved and their standout players. Assistant coach Jaime de Almeida, Liminha, Arilson, and Dionísio are the professionals involved in this work.
