Flamengo's medical department had a lot of work to do this Wednesday. Ramón and Michael, suffering from thigh pain, did not participate in training with the rest of the group at Ninho do Urubu. The players did physical training in the gym and were evaluated by Dr. Marcelo Soares.
"Michael is progressing well, responding well to treatment, but it's still too early to say if he'll play on Sunday. We'll wait for the next training sessions and see how he does. Ramón's situation is the same," he explained.
Striker Dênis Marques also suffered. After being accidentally hit by Rômulo during training, he left the field with pain in his right knee.
"Dennis only took a knock. It's a game thing. Normal and nothing to worry about," he added.
Midfielder Fernando has recovered from a thigh injury. The number 17 trained normally with his teammates and, like Adriano, should be available for Andrade for Sunday's derby.
