As usual, the eve of a game was quite lively at Flamengo. During training on Tuesday (March 23.03), the relaxed atmosphere was present throughout. After the traditional kick-off between the vest and non-vest teams—which the vest team won—the players joked around, laughed, and showed that the group remains more united than ever.
After the activity, coach Andrade practically confirmed David as the starting defenseman, alongside Fabrício. One of the most playful players on the squad, the young defender praised not only the strength of the group but also the friendship among the players.
"We always try to have fun. During the kick-off, when there's no responsibility, we try to take advantage of it to relax and have fun. It's very important on the eve of a game," said David, who will replace Álvaro, who is out due to a sprained left knee.
There's a good chance the defender will remain in the starting eleven for the games against América and Friburguense over the next two weekends. David laments his teammate's absence but celebrates the run of games.
"I'll try to seize this opportunity I have now. I'm sad about Alvaro's absence, he's a great teammate. I admire him as a player and a person. However, I'm happy for the opportunity, which is coming up again," he concluded.
