Victor Hugo was the guest on FlaTV's "Resenha do Craque" this Thursday (29) and chatted about his performance in the 4-0 victory over Aucas on Wednesday night (28) at Maracanã. The boy talked about scoring another goal in the Conmebol Libertadores, the realization of his dreams as a player and fan, his relationship with Sampaoli and much more. Check it out:

On scoring another goal in the continental competition

"I'm so happy. Last year I didn't score a single goal in the Libertadores. I scored in the Copa do Brasil, I scored in the Brasileirão - and this year it's an incredible feeling to be scoring in such an important competition," added the youngster who had already scored the decisive goal against Racing in the penultimate round of the tournament's group stage.

Have you realized it yet?

"Every game, every goal, every packed Maracanã, a movie plays in my head. I remember when I was in the crowd, not long ago. I would cheer for the guys I'm playing with today; it's a huge thrill for me to have this opportunity. In 2019, I celebrated the Libertadores Cup at home, and last year I was able to win one while playing."

Fight for ownership

"It's a group with many good players, many stars. This internal competition is important for everyone. Everyone evolves this way, everyone realizes they need to give their best every day, and this ends up raising the level of the squad. Those who play give their best because they know the competition (for position) is good."

Relationship with Sampaoli

"He's a guy who's always attentive to the little details, who always strives for perfection in the game. Perfect positioning, ensuring everyone is in their proper position so the game develops better. We try to assimilate the information and pass it on to the field."

About playing with more experienced players

"We try to get the most out of each other's experience, a little bit from each, every day. This is very important for our career. David Luiz is a guy who helps me with positioning and mentality; he's a guy I learn a little from every day. This has been very important to me."
