A standout in the historic rout, Cebolinha is the guest on “Game Review”

Number 11 opened the scoring and provided two assists in the 6-1 victory over Vasco

Striker Everton Cebolinha, who had a gala performance with a goal and two assists, last Sunday (2), in the classic against Vasco, was invited to participate in the program “Resenha do Craque”, on FlaTV, and commented on the memorable match of the red-black team. The number 11 also spoke a little about the preparation for the duel against Grêmio, next Thursday (13). Check out some excerpts from the interview:

About the goal

"When Arrascaeta managed to pass it to me, the ball came perfectly for me to hit. I saw that I had kicked it well and hard, so much so that Léo Jardim actually touched the ball but couldn't catch it. The moment it left my foot, I knew it was heading toward the goal."

Assistance for Pedro

"It was improvised, so much so that I was the one taking the corner. Then Gerson got the ball, so I told him to quickly hit it at my foot. I realized I had a certain advantage and managed to successfully cross it to Pedro."

Assistance for David Luiz
"I joked with him even after the game that both of his goals were assists from me. This play is interesting because he raises his finger asking for a cross, so I tried to shoot just before the penalty spot, which was where David was, and he ended up hitting a beautiful shot."

About Gerson's speech

"It's no wonder the guy is captain. He's a great speaker, able to express what the whole group was feeling at the time. Regarding his comment about Maracanã being our home, we feel that way. It's been clear since Flamengo was Flamengo. Even though Vasco was in charge, we felt much more at home than they did."
