Collective training day in Gávea
The reserve and starting teams faced the youth team.
By Flamengo Archive - inPreparing the red-black team to face Grêmio, Sunday, in Porto Alegre, coach Caio Júnior led his first collective training session, this afternoon, at the Gávea field.
The coach divided the activity into two parts. In the first, the reserve team, consisting of Paulo Victor, Luizinho, Leonardo, Rodrigo Arroz, and Egidio; Rômulo, Cristian, Jônatas, and Renato Augusto; Diego Tardelli and Éder, defeated the youth team 2-0, with two goals from Éder.
In the second half of the training session, Caio Júnior fielded the starting lineup against the youngsters. The team took the field with: Bruno, Léo Moura, Fábio Luciano, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Jailton, Ibson, Kleberson, and Toró; and Marcinho and Obina. The team performed well, winning 3-0, with goals from Ibson, Juan, and Obina.
After training, Caio Júnior said that the activity was important to observe the characteristics of each player.
- "Motivation in football is essential. Everyone had the opportunity to participate, and I was able to observe a little more about the characteristics of each player."
Souza, with Achilles tendon pain, only did physical exercises at the club's gym. The forward is doubtful for Sunday and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
