Flamengo was defeated by Macaé 1-0, on Saturday night (10), in a match valid for the Taça Rio. Still on the Moacyrzão pitch, goalkeeper Diego Alves spoke to the press and commented on the negative result, in addition to projecting next week's match against Emelec.
"We were much superior in the first half, but we couldn't score. We knew we had to be careful with them, as they would look for counterattacks and those kinds of plays. They found them, and after the sending-off, the game became disorganized and changed. Wednesday is a different competition. We'll have time to study, improve some points, and we'll go all out for this duel," said Diego.
Flamengo returns to the field next Wednesday (14), when they face Emelec, at the George Campwell stadium, at 21:45 pm. The match will be valid for the second round of the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores.
