Flamengo enters the break for the 2018 World Cup in Russia already qualified for the Libertadores Cup and the Copa do Brasil, and leading the Brazilian Championship with a four-point advantage over the runner-up.
On Wednesday night (13), Mais Querido drew with Palmeiras away from home and goalkeeper Diego Alves spoke about the importance of the result.
"We're happy with the result and to maintain the lead. We have a four-point difference from the runner-up, and we had a very good first half of the season. We have the break now, and we'll move forward to continue this momentum after the World Championship."
Leaving Allianz Parque, forward Vinicius Junior spoke about the 1-1 draw against the São Paulo team.
