On July 17th, goalkeeper Diego Alves was officially presented by Flamengo. Since his official arrival at Gávea and his debut with the Manto Sagrado, the player has earned the trust and admiration of the fans, becoming one of the leaders of the Flamengo squad. In an exclusive interview with FlaTV, Diego showed a different side, discussing his career, gastronomy in Spain, family, and other topics.

"Every child's dream is to be a soccer player, especially in a country as passionate about the sport as Brazil. It became a natural process for me to enjoy it. I used to go with my father to games and started playing indoor soccer in São José dos Campos. I started enjoying that position more and more, so I started playing on the field, and things happened quickly. At 16, I signed my first professional contract, and at 18, I joined Atlético Mineiro," said the club's number 1.

Diego Alves also commented on his children. "They know daddy's working. I always tell them; they know I'm playing. They're both still very young, one is three and the other five. They love it. In Spain, they both loved going to the field. When I get the chance, I want to take them to Maracanã, to Ilha do Urubu, wherever Flamengo is playing, so they can see and feel what it's like to be here," said Diego.

"I'm very critical of my part. I have meetings with the goalkeeper coach, I like to see positioning, tactics. I like football, I live it. But of course, at some point I need to disconnect from it. I try to enjoy as much as possible with my children. It's normal, every player who lives like me knows that it's necessary to have time with the family," he explained about his busy routine.
