"It wasn't the result we expected or wanted, but considering it was a derby, it's still a positive thing. We had moments where we were playing very well and could have finished the game off, then we struggled against a well-organized team like Fluminense. The dedication was sensational, we fought until the end and, in that aspect, we are satisfied," said the number 35.

Regarding the goal, Diego commented on his happiness and the importance of scoring again for Flamengo.

"The ball ended up falling to me in that play. It's a very important goal, it's great to come back after this time off and to score again, especially in such an important derby here at the Maracanã, which always adds something extra.
