After training this Friday (16), midfielder Diego met with the press and gave a press conference. In the conversation, he praised the Kleber Andrade stadium, which will host the Guanabara Cup final, and spoke about the changes in the team from last year to this year.
Check out the main excerpts from the conversation:
Cariacica and the final
We have fond memories there; it's a stadium in excellent condition. Cariacica has always welcomed us. We have to respect the Boavista team, which didn't get this far by accident.
Tactical system
Carpegiani demands more marking from non-defenders. Over the course of 12 years, I played in Europe, playing four different positions, and every coach brings new skills to our work. I think the main change is mobility. It requires a lot of movement, a lot of us. We have to make everything we do automatic. We train daily so it can become increasingly solid and clear.
Physical form
I didn't feel any pain after my 2017 injury. Obviously, it's a hindrance, but I haven't had any post-injury problems. The season was exhausting. In 2018, I'm doing very well.
Lucas Paqueta
He's already a reality; he's been playing very well. He's a very important player for us. He'll always be pushed harder each year. I spoke with him and said that this year marks a new level in his career.
