A dominant Flamengo performance! Nearly 60 fans watched the Rubro-negro return from halftime determined to do everything for the 3 points and maintain their lead. The team went into the locker room tied 1-1, and in less than five minutes of the second half, Paquetá and Everton Ribeiro put Fla ahead. At 18 minutes, it was Uribe's turn to score his first goal in the Sacred Mantle and Flamengo's fourth. After this afternoon's victory, midfielder Diego spoke about the team's reaction in the second half.
“It was an excellent reaction. We conceded a goal at the end of the first half, and you go to the locker room with that bitter feeling, but the team reacted very well. It wasn't the first time the team has done that. Now, of course, when the goals come, everything becomes easier, and I believe the team has had this kind of reaction in the games. We have remained strong and psychologically focused.”
The number 10 highlighted the team's control throughout the match and acknowledged the crucial support from the fans. “We played an excellent game; for most of the match we controlled the game and managed to create chances effectively on both sides. We managed to build an exceptional scoreline, and the fans once again did their part with a wonderful atmosphere.”
After the World Cup, Flamengo won two matches, drew one, and lost another. With these results, the team has maintained its lead, which it has held since the 7th round. The Flamengo midfielder emphasizes that the overall result has been positive and now the focus is on August, which will include matches in the Libertadores Cup and the Copa do Brasil.
