Flamengo took the field against Grêmio this Sunday for a decisive match. They won, returned to the top four, and, to boot, got a goal from the day's debutant: Diego. The Flamengo's number 4 commented on the performance with a happy expression:

"(Debut) on the right foot, thanks to the team, the support I've received. It slightly exceeded expectations, I expected to play a maximum of 60 minutes. Since I arrived, I said I was living a dream and I'm going to live it intensely. I have a lot to do, but starting this way helps a lot," said Diego.

Regarding the importance of the victory and the sequence of games, Diego was clear: It takes a lot of work.

"We have to continue working with great humility. We have a lot to improve and continue on this path, which will undoubtedly lead to a very positive outcome at the end of the season. We knew about the head-to-head and the importance of the game. Grêmio is a well-rounded team, but teams that dream big need to have this kind of duel, and that's what we did: we played like a big team, with personality, we dominated much of the game, and now we have to continue like this for the next games," he concluded.

Mengão's next match will be on Wednesday (24), against the Figueirense team, at Orlando Scarpelli, for the Copa Sul-Americana. For the Brasileirão, Rubro-Negro plays on Sunday (28), against Chapecoense, at 16 pm, at Arena Condá.
