The long-awaited debut of Diogo and Deivid in the red-and-black attack is getting closer. While the swelling in Deivid's left ankle had been a concern for the coaching staff, this Thursday (September 02.09nd), he did a workout at the gym and then put on his cleats to train on the field.

The number 43 didn't work with the rest of his teammates, but he played lively games of footvolley with Leo Medeiros, Saba, Lenon, and physical trainer Daniel Jouvin, who led the training. Afterwards, he ran circuits and kicked with both legs without showing any signs of pain.

The center forward still doesn't know if he will be able to play on Sunday (05.09), against Santos, but he is confident of a quick recovery.

"I hope I can play. Of course I'm not 100% yet, but I'm much better than I was after the game," he said.

The striker must be re-evaluated by the Medical Department and physical preparation this Friday (03.09).
