Everton Cebolinha was invited to participate in the first “Game Review” of 2024, on FlaTV, this Friday (19). The number 11 was one of the highlights in Flamengo's 4-0 victory over Audax-Rj, with a goal. Check out some excerpts from the interview:
Your first match of the year
"Very important, not just for me, but for any player, especially in attack. Starting the season, whether with a goal or an assist, gives you more confidence for the rest of the work."
Playing out of position
"I'm already used to playing on the left side, my preferred side. With the coach (Tite), with the national team itself, I'd already played on the right side. So, for me, it's easy. Obviously, I'm not used to it that much because I don't play often, but I ended up 'getting it right,' and I had some good moves on that side."
Projection for 2024
"I've been preparing for this. Since last year, I've been doing extra work, including nutrition, training, and tactical assessment. I hope this year ends well."
About Tite
"He's a very honest, consistent guy. I already know him from the national team, and I've had the opportunity to work with him. Starting preseason work is very important. It's different when you arrive at the beginning of the season, like he did last year, at the end. In a short time, we achieved results, securing a direct spot in the Copa Libertadores. I believe that starting from scratch gives us more confidence."
