Fred Luz highlighted the importance of actions like this, which bring clubs closer together and leave rivalries behind on the pitch.

"It's always an important meeting, which shows that in football, the competition has to be on the field. Off the field, there must be this mutual respect and admiration. Atlético-PR is an example for us, a club with which we have an excellent relationship. We are very happy that this connection exists. Moments like this bring an atmosphere of conversation, camaraderie, and good humor, without forgetting that tomorrow (Wednesday) the fight on the field will be arduous. But it is very important that we are adversaries and never enemies," he said.

Márcio Lara, vice-president of Atlético-PR, also praised the meeting that unites the two red-blacks, from Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba.

"Leaving this meeting with our friends from Flamengo, on behalf of the Atlético-PR board, we would like to express our deep gratitude for the way we were welcomed, with all the politeness and courtesy that is typical of Flamengo's management. We have had a long-standing relationship... We are grateful and hope for a game that is played in the best possible way, with the best team winning. The histories of Atlético and Flamengo are united by the red and black colors, by the passion for red and black. It is always a great joy to be with our friends from the board. It was an extremely enjoyable evening," he concluded.
