On Tuesday night (27), the day before the kick-off of the Conmebol Libertadores, the boards of Flamengo and River Plate met in a restaurant in Rio de Janeiro for a courtesy dinner between the teams.
Present were President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, Executive Director of Football Rodrigo Caetano, Vice President of the Department Ricardo Lomba, Marcelo Frazão, Director of New Business, and CEO Fred Luz, as well as Adrian Varela, International Relations Officer for the Argentine club, President Rodolfo D'Onofrio, Security Director Gabriel Marcilli and Santiago Poblet, Public Relations Officer for River.
Earlier, the Gávea headquarters hosted River for a social action aimed at children from underprivileged communities carried out by the Argentine team's foundation. The teams' debut duel in the Conmebol Libertadores will be this Wednesday (28), at 21:45 pm, at the Nilton Santos stadium.
