Two games, one goal, and a title. Dourado talks about his beginnings at Flamengo

The striker is having a great start and expects further growth for the rest of the season.

Henrique Dourado arrived and scored a goal in the derby against Botafogo. In the following game, he won the Guanabara Cup. It's hard to get any better than that. Already in the fans' good graces, today, against Boavista, he unfortunately didn't find the net. He had a clear chance early in the second half, but the ball "decided" not to go in. The striker, however, was all smiles after the match that earned him his first trophy for the Mais Querido. Dourado is a two-time Guanabara Cup champion, having won it in 2017 while playing for Fluminense. And he doesn't want to stop there.

"I want to win more titles wearing the Flamengo jersey. We knew the responsibility was ours, but we played with great responsibility and humility. And we'll look for more titles in the future. We're going after the Libertadores. We have two games left before the debut. So we'll work hard and focus on them to start well."

Dourado arrived as Flamengo's main signing of the season. But he didn't want to take any center stage. On the contrary, he insists on sharing all the credit for the achievement with his teammates.

"The team is above all. I'm happy to arrive and win this title with my teammates. We're a very strong group. We need to congratulate everyone; they were all winners, even those who started the competition. Now it's time to work hard and aim for bigger things this season. It was already an important step, but we'll remain focused on bringing more joy to the fans," concluded the Reaper.

Flamengo returns to the field on Wednesday, against Madureira, at 19:30 pm, at the Nilton Santos stadium, in the opening of the Rio Cup.
