On Wednesday (13), the red-black squad met at the George Helal Training Center, in Vargem Grande, to continue preparing for the classic against Botafogo. Coach Zé Ricardo led training on a reduced field, in an activity open to the press.

After muscle activation work at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center, the athletes headed to Field 2 to begin their warm-up. Explosive and speed exercises were performed, followed by technical work on passing accuracy and movement. Groups of six players were formed, with four players holding the ball while two attempted to intercept it.

Afterwards, the group headed to Field 1 to begin training. The field was divided in two, and four teams were formed with the players from the squad. On each half of the field, two teams played five-minute matches, with two teams alternating sides at the end of each match. The activity included participation from Argentine defender Donatti, a new addition to the red-and-black defense.

The group will return to training in the morning this Thursday (14), preparing for the match against Botafogo, next Saturday (16). The match will take place at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium, on Ilha do Governador (RJ), with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
