Internet users believe that Diogo and Deivid will help Flamengo "fight for the seventh title"

Flamengo fans are confident in the Rubro-Negro's new attacking duo. Deivid and Diogo, who have everything they need to play their first game together this Sunday (September 05.09th), have already received rave reviews from users on the official website. In our latest poll, the question was: "Will Diogo and Deivid make a good attacking duo for Flamengo?"
The vast majority (68%) voted that "Yes, they are two very high-quality players who complement each other and can help us fight for the seventh title." Twenty-eight percent adopted a slightly more cautious stance, saying that "Maybe, but we need to wait until they are both fit and playing, and be patient so we can analyze the situation." Only 4% believed the duo wouldn't work out, stating: "No, I believe they'll arrive to compete for positions with the strikers already in the squad."
The fans' support is an added motivation for the players. Diogo, who won the hearts of the nation upon his debut in the red-and-black jersey against Atlético Mineiro, hopes to continue to do more on the field to repay this trust.
"It's great to have this affection. I'm very happy to know that the fans trust me and I'll try my best on the field to live up to that," said the player, having recovered from ankle pain.
The suspense surrounding the duo's debut, however, continues. Whether Deivid and Diogo will start, coach Silas will only reveal moments before the ball rolls, this Sunday (05.09), at Maracanã.
