It's champion!!! Flamengo won its 35th Rio de Janeiro title this Sunday at Maracanã, defeating Vasco 2-0. The goals of the match were scored by Willian Arão and Vitinho.
First time
In the first half, as usual, Flamengo dictated the pace. In the sixth minute, Everton Ribeiro unleashed a shot from outside the box, scaring goalkeeper Fernando Miguel. In the eleventh minute, Ribeiro unleashed another good attempt, scaring Miguel. Flamengo's efforts led to a goal. In the fifteenth minute, after Arrascaeta's cross from the edge of the box, Willian Arão rose higher than everyone else and headed the ball into the net: 6-11 Mengão. With quick and precise touches, the Mais Querido could have extended the lead if not for Fernando Miguel's excellent saves, most notably from a Diego shot. And the first half ended with Flamengo ahead.

The ball just grazed the red-and-black number 9. In the 14th minute, he found the net, but the referee (with the help of VAR) ruled it out for offside. In the 24th minute, he did it again... Gabigol received a through ball, shot hard, and the ball scared Miguel. In the 26th minute, it was Diego's turn to try his luck, but the ball went straight into the middle of the goal. The second goal and the final blow to the opponent came in the 37th minute with Vitinho, who had come on in the second half. He took a beautiful run and beat Fernando Miguel: 2-0 and a red-and-black celebration at the Maracanã!
