Having gone five games without a win, Flamengo has been steadily improving in the Brazilian Championship, but they know that's not enough. The red-and-blacks know they need to start scoring goals and getting victories. And they hope that starts this Wednesday (September 08.09th) against São Paulo at Morumbi Stadium.
Midfielder Toró, who is expected to make his second consecutive start for the red-black team, believes the team has to reap the rewards of the good work it has been doing throughout the week.
"We're missing a win. We've been playing well in recent games, but things haven't gone our way. With Silas' arrival, the players are working a little harder, and it's time for everyone to work hard," he said.
Ronaldo Angelim agrees, recalling the team's strong performance in the first half of last weekend's match against Santos. According to him, that spirit is what Flamengo should replicate in the coming rounds.
"The team already showed improvement against Santos, with a very good first half, and we have to maintain that to go there against São Paulo and try to win," he concluded.
