Before the red-black delegation traveled to Minas Gerais, where the match against Atlético-MG will take place, preparations for the match ended on Saturday morning (12) at Ninho do Urubu.

The training session was overseen by attacking midfielder Ederson, who was diagnosed with a testicular tumor and is undergoing treatment. With words of encouragement and support from the squad, the number 10 encouraged his teammates for the rest of the season.

On the field, interim coach Jayme de Almeida led tactical training focused on game situations. Analyzing the opponent's style of play, he gave the players instructions on precautions to take and areas to explore against the Minas Gerais team.

Set pieces also received special attention, both offensively and defensively, with guidance on positioning during these situations. Fundamentals such as free kicks near the penalty area and corner kicks were practiced. Finally, part of the group participated in collective training on a reduced-size pitch, closely monitored by members of the club's coaching staff.

In the afternoon, the delegation will head to Belo Horizonte. This Sunday (13), at the Independência stadium, Flamengo will face Atlético-MG, with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
