This Wednesday (11), good news for the red-black squad. The athlete Ederson, who had a tumor removed from his testicle in July, completed one of the recovery phases of the problem. Last Monday (9), Flamengo's number 10 underwent the last chemotherapy session and, now, the expectation is for a gradual return to training.

"Within our expectations, he has responded above average, having had an extremely satisfactory result, which leaves us excited," said Dr. Marcio Tannure. 

"Ederson had a consultation with a specialist doctor this Tuesday and, if everything goes well, we hope he can return to training next week, albeit gradually," he added.

The midfielder couldn't hide his relief and celebrated the step forward. His last match for Flamengo was against Avaí in June of this year. 

"I'm finally reaching the final stage of treatment! I had my last session on Monday. Thank God, I'm feeling well. Both the doctors and I are optimistic, especially considering how I feel. Everything is going well, always positive," said the player, who will still undergo tests in early November.

"We believe the most difficult period is behind us. While we await the results of the tests that will be carried out in November, I will continue to improve my physical condition," he said.

The number 10 showed gratitude to those involved in the recovery process.
