Many beloved professionals from all clubs and media outlets were present in the plane crash involving the Chapecoense delegation, which devastated the world of football. Among those linked to Flamengo were athletes Marcelo, Cleber Santana, Arthur Maia, coach Caio Jr, commentator Mario Sérgio and Chpe's assistant coach, Eduardo de Castro Filho, known as Duca.

Born in Cascavel, Paraná, Duca fell in love with the ball as a child. At six, he kicked his first ball for the city's futsal teams. With great potential, he joined Flamengo at 14, already playing field soccer.

Above average, Duca turned professional at Mengão at the age of 17. A member of the Brazilian national team, he retired early from the field due to a back injury.

He began his coaching career at Atlético-PR, once again playing futsal. He joined Chapecoense alongside Caio Jr. at the coach's invitation.

May the family receive all the condolences and comfort.
