"We'll continue chasing the top spots. Saturday we have a tough game against Internacional, but we'll be strong again to win and continue on this path to reach the final and be crowned Brazilian champions," said the striker, who also praised the team's performance at Couto Pereira.
"We played well, but due to a lack of focus in the first play of the second half, we conceded a goal. We can't afford that kind of inattention; we have to fix it. We won in the end thanks to the quality of the team and Gerson's amazing goal. The game was very good. You have to be alert at all times; the Brazilian Championship is very difficult."
In search of climbing even higher in the standings, Flamengo returns to the field next Saturday (26) to face Internacional, at 18:30 pm, at Maracanã. The match is valid for the 21st round of the Brazilian Championship.
