The red-black delegation arrived in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul in the early hours of this Saturday

Porto Alegre (RS) - The Flamengo players who will face Internacional on Sunday (July 25.07) at Beira-Rio Stadium are already in Rio Grande do Sul. After a little over two hours of travel, the Flamengo players landed at Porto Alegre Airport at around 1 a.m. this Saturday (July 24.07) and headed to the hotel where the delegation is staying, in the city center. The most talked about topic upon arrival was none other than the cold weather in Rio Grande do Sul.

The temperature, which is below 10 degrees Celsius, is unusual for most of the red-and-black squad. For others, however, the chill gives them a sense of home. This is the case with midfielder Rômulo. A native of Caxias do Sul, he joked with his teammates: "Are you guys complaining? It's still hot here. I wish I could see you in Caxias. It's much worse."

But the team from Gávea's focus is truly on Internacional. A direct rival in the fight for a spot in the top four, Internacional is considered a formidable opponent, even with coach Celso Roth likely to field a mixed team on Sunday.

"Regardless of who plays, Internacional is a great team, and playing at home, with the support of their fans, they are even stronger. We know we'll have difficulties, but we came here to play our football and we're going to get the three points," said striker Diego Maurício.

With 16 points, Flamengo and Internacional are tied in the Brasileirão standings. The Gauchos have the advantage and are in fourth place due to the number of goals scored (18 to 12).
